The Chancellor’s Dinner : a feast of ideas

It’s always a special occasion but, coming hot on the heels of the start of our University’s 50th anniversary, this year’s Chancellor’s Dinner was our biggest yet.

More than 150 distinguished alumni, friends and partners of our University joined the Chancellor HRH The Earl of Wessex and the Vice-Chancellor at the magnificent Assembly Rooms in Bath on Tuesday 28 June, to toast 50 years of our University, and sample a feast of ideas.

Before dinner guests immersed themselves in examples of the University’s leading research and student initiatives; including TeamBath Racing, the new £5 million CAMERA centre, and research into detecting infection and preventing Alzheimer’s.

The dinner followed the first of three days of graduation ceremonies at Bath Abbey, where we welcomed more than 2,000 new graduates into our alumni community, and awarded several honorary degrees.
