Your Impact Report

Inside this year’s Impact Report, you’ll read about students and researchers whose lives are being transformed by our alumni and friends.

It’s thanks to our community of donors that the best and brightest students are able to study here, regardless of background or financial circumstances. This year we welcomed our first 50 Gold Scholars as part of our most ambitious programme of support yet. Gold Scholarships are a lasting legacy of the University’s 50th anniversary and, with continued support, will give those students most in need a golden opportunity to succeed, year after year.

The effects of gifts are not just felt on campus, either. Our PhD students and academics are researching areas of global importance, such as food security and sustainable energy, which impact on all our lives. Studentships and fellowships attract international talent to Bath, further our pursuit of knowledge and enable us to make a positive difference in the world.

Professor Peter Lambert, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching, is Chair of the Alumni Fund Panel, which designates grants to support projects across campus. He says:

“We are now excitingly close to meeting our Look Further campaign target of £66 million to support our students and researchers.

“In 2016-17, you helped us to reach £61 million – a testament to what our community can achieve when we work together. Every donation counts and we are truly grateful.”
